How to create an effective Google Panda and Penguin approachable SEO Strategy to promote your website

Promote your website unceremoniously with Google Panda and Penguin Algorithms

For those who deal with SEO marketing strategy and blogging, Google Panda and Google Penguin should not be something new issue to them. Ever since the inception of these updates, there has been strong buzz on how to develop the perfect Search Engine Optimization plan, so that websites have their dues in online rankings. Before moving forward into Google Penguin and Panda, it’s important to know that each is a segment of Google's Search Algorithm. This algorithm is a mathematical formula which involves up to 200 variables that determines the rank of each website in Google Search Engine Result Page. The algorithm takes into account of an ample of factors that some SEO have no control over. One important thing that people should know about the algorithm is its super-secret. Google will only reveal about its bits and pieces but will not give you the entire formula. It’s as secret as the formula locked inside enigmatic vault in Atlanta.

How to become a friend with Google Panda?

In February 2011 Google launched Panda, mainly to make change in its search results ranking algorithm. The ultimate purpose of this update is just to keep those inferior quality and low content web sites away from top ranking results and give the qualitative sites to the searchers.

As an obvious result, many websites owners and SEO marketers with huge amount of advertising or those with low quality content, experienced a huge decline in the online rankings. Ever since Panda algorithm has been established, there have been launched many other updates to it ranging to over 22 in grand total till date.

Google Panda is the change or update to the algorithm that affects a lot of people having old web sites. To understand the concept of Google Panda, it is inherently important to understand Google's core mission. Google wants to deliver the best in class results to searchers. If you go back from a search, Google notices it and pushes the website down in the search rankings. Some of the factors we have seen that affect websites are:

  • Poor design of the site
  • Websites that are slow to load,
  • Websites that don't reference their articles through links
  • Websites that doesn’t have original contents in its page.

The bottom line is you need to have a well-designed website and have unique and original content.

How to become a friend with Google Penguin?

Another update of algorithm from Google that gave SEO professional another blow was Penguin, which was launched in April 2012. The reason underlying the update was simple enough- decrease and penalize site’s ranking that breach Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.

This included degrading the search engine rankings of all those websites that uses black-hat SEO techniques like keyword stuffing, duplicate content and cloaking to name a few.

Google Penguin is the recent update to Google's Algorithm. This update is targeted at websites which are practicing tactics that are considered as a means to game Google's searches. When Google indexes a website, it looks at name of places for specific keywords, some internet marketers or firms have used this means and stuffed keywords onto a site, but made it visible to Google, or they get many links from illegitimate websites that, now Google consider as a spam. To date, there are ample of websites that have been hit by update of Penguin algorithm. These websites have end up suffering from a lack of visitors or other issues related to Google Panda.

However, while Panda and Penguin updates have got most of the news and therefore gave web crawlers the best in class result and upgraded high quality websites. This is why, not updating your website frequently, and expecting to be ranked number one without any effort makes no sense. Hence, in conclusion; Panda is all about getting Google to deliver the best quality websites to searchers and penguin keeps people away from misusing the system.
